A 25-minute Internet movie was screened after the EGM.

The story is about a girl who aspires to be a signer. She takes loquat fruit regularly.

Her schoolmates, impressed by her signing talent, remark that her mother has to be good in singing too. The girl is heartbroken because her mother is mute and deaf.

One day, her mother brings loquat fruits to the school. When schoolmates find out her mother's handicaps, the girl is embarrassed and asks her not to show up at the school again.

The girl takes part in a singing competition and finds her mother among the audience. She pays tribute to her mother, who is moved to tear even though she cannot hear her.

Throughout the 25 minutes of the movie, "Garden Fresh" brand shows up only three times. First, when a friend brings several bottles of loquat juice to share with the girl and her roommates in the school dormitory. Second, when a friend whisks out bottles of loquat juice in celebration of the girl passing the audition for the singing competition. Third, the stage bedecked with "Garden Fresh" logo during the singing competition.

The movie serves its purpose of promoting "Garden Fresh" in a refreshing manner. It does no hard selling.

The movie, which has yet to be uploaded to the Internet, should be a hit.

Sino Grandness is quite creative in finding this advertising platform to promote the "garden Fresh" brand.

Oh So You Were There, Mr Diversity?

Did you witness something interesting ? The CEO was chit-chatting with 1 or 2 people when he saw a shareholder (perhaps one of those hungry retiree types who over-eat at AGMs and rush for food) stuff 5 bottles of loquat juice into his bag.

CEO turned to the guy and actually fished out the 5 bottles and said, no, you cannot take them, there isn't enough for other shareholders. Why do you need to take 5? The CEO put the bottles back where people could take one each to sample.

btw, I think the loquat juice is only so-so in taste, at least to my SG taste)

This is incredible. This suggests that the CEO is a hands-on manager. Instead of asking a subordinate to deal with the matter, he took it on at the risk of a backlash (PR-wise). He clearly was instinctively responding from some moral principle, I think a little more highly of him as a result.

I also wish that certain shareholders would cease to act shamefully by stuffing food into their bags at AGMs/EGMs. I have seen a number of incidents and wonder what drives these people to stoop so low.

x-stock split price 68 cents *(pre-split = $1.36).

Undervalued at PE of 5-6X with major catalysts coming.

FYI, Sino Grandness has several potential developments in the next two months

a) Appointment of investment bankers;

b) Wuhan trade fair and analyst plant tour 5-8 Oct;

c) Standard Chartered seminar - Late Oct

d) 3QFY13 results

Notwithstanding the above potential developments, it is noteworthy that the dates are tentative in nature.

PE is 5-6 X on forward earnings. Very cheap. Hope the management's integrity is rock solid. Or soon, skeletons will be discovered in the cupboard during the IPO due diligence process.
