♦ Executive Condominium at Choa Chu Kang Grove: The contract worth around S$276 million was awarded by MCL Land Limited.

The project comprises the design and build of 1,327 units, one block of 4-storey multi-storey carpark with a roof garden, ancillary facilities, swimming pool and a basement carpark. The contract commences in November 2014.

This bumps up Tiong Seng’s ongoing order book to S$1.4 billion, which is expected to be fulfilled by 2020.

In line with the government’s direction to improve productivity in the industry and to encourage the use of environmentally sustainable materials, Tiong Seng will be utilising various construction technologies for this project.

These include the extensive use of precast, which will be integrated with its proprietary patented Cobiax technology, the use of its advanced formwork system, and the construction and installation of Prefabricated Bathroom Units (“PBU”) for condominium units in the project.

The latter has been used by Tiong Seng for its past projects since 2005.

♦ Stamford Diversion Canal Phase 2: The $107.7 million project was awarded by the Public Utilities Board. It involves the construction of the canal from Grange Road at the Orchard Boulevard junction to River Valley Road.

The contract has a contract period of 40 months and work starts in November 2014.

Great World Station and Tunnels for Thomson Line: The Joint Venture between wholly-owned subsidiary, Tiong Seng Contractors (Pte) Ltd, and Dongah Geological Engineering Co.Ltd (Singapore Branch) has been awarded the Contract T220 by the Land Transport Authority. The contract is worth approximately $316 million and commenced in May 2014.

Tiong Seng Contractors (Pte) Ltd is currently constructing Downtown Line 2’s Hillview and Cashew Stations.
