1. Big day, and it might trigger a re-rating of the stock to at least 35 cents.

2. Alliance should be included in the Global X Lithium & Battery Tech ETF

The union of AMA and TAW is approved !
This enlarged entity will attract fund managers looking for a decent-sized lithium producer to ride on the Electric Vehicle era.

Finally, as expected, the Australian court has approved the merger of AMA & TAW (after the TAW shareholders approved last week). Tomorrow is the last trading day of TAW after which it will be exchanged for AMA shares and listed in ASX. The merged entity is sure to attract funds from all corners of the world which want to ride on the Electric Vehicle boom that is shaping up. AMA shares should be trading higher and higher from here.

The lithium price bulls were right

Headline of the article says it all: Lithium price will recover as lithium supply from mines proves elusive because of delays, squabbles, court hearings, technical issues, etc.

Alliance puts faith in overseas lithium prices

Mr Caldwerwood said he is comfortable with terms being linked to “the fortunes of the industry”.

“It better matches the fortunes of the players in the industry, downstream as well, so we’re confident over the next three years we’ll do very well out of that formula and get a reasonable rate between the upper and lower limits,” he said.

Alliance expects to produce 65,000t-80,000t of spodumene in the first six months of 2019 after a weak December quarter affected by low head grades.

That will ramp up in the second half of 2019 as a new circuit at the mine’s processing plant comes online to 180,000t for the full year, with production expected to rise higher again in 2020 to 240,000t at an operating cost of $US400/t.
