Interest has dwindled but this one could be a wild card. Just my 2 cents worth

Final dividend coming is 1.44 cents, so the yield is 4.4% cos the stock price is 33 cents. the dividend will represent
approximately 30% of the Group's net profit attributable to equity holders in FY2010.

Dividend for 09 was 0.74 cents.

If they keep up this sort of dividend, the stock should be ok.

Volume trending up with 2.9 million shares traded today.
Stock closed 2 cents higher at 33 cents.

Frencken is among a handful of exciting penny stock plays – just look at the jump in volume last Friday to 1.02 million shares compared to 123,000 & 177,000 the 2 days before. As a result, we get a 2 cent jump on Friday to 31 cents. The stock had been stable at 29 cents for quite a while prior to this.

Consolidation of course.

I think Frencken has become a target of those who fancy tech stocks which have not moved much in recent weeks & months.

In this category, I  have already picked Avi-Tech also as a potential winner in the semiconductor category, If you’re among the supporters of Avi-Tech, you’ll agree that the fundamentals are strong and the prospects outlined by the management in its results announcements are credible.

Frencken's borrowings of $44 million as at end June will be whacked down after it does a sale & leaseback of its 2 buildings in Changi.

Just announced....fantastic sale price of $22 million compared to valuation of $14 m.


Frencken will repay bank borrowings substantially, and will be sitting on a bigger net cash position.

Hope they can give higher final dividends :-)
If restored to 1.92 cents (fy08), the yield would be 6.4%.

But results this year on track to  be much much higher than fy2008....
