THIS IS No. 2, Watten Estate, the sprawling home of Singapore’s richest man, Ng Teng Fong, who had a net worth of US$8 billion. He died yesterday at 82, from a cerebral haemorrhage 10 days ago. The wake is held in his mansion, and his funeral will be this Saturday.

DBS Vickers has a 'Buy' call on Broadway, which is releasing its results on 23 Feb.
HDD COMPONENT makers Broadway and MAP Technology are releasing their FY09 results this month.
Analysts are expecting HDD component makers to post positive earnings surprises, due to the strong PC shipment recovery in 4Q last year.
DBS Vickers has a ‘Buy’ call on Broadway, with a target price of S$1.28 (last closing price: 77 cents). Read about the sector trend here.

THE CHINESE government has been biding its time - and biting its tongue - on the sidelines of the annual iron ore contract price negotiations between Chinese steelmakers and the world’s top three mining firms for several months.
But Beijing has suddenly said it hopes both sides can reach a "timely and fair” deal that presents a “win-win” scenario for both mills and miners.

BONJOUR HOLDINGS Ltd (HK: 653) believes that there is no need to go to the customer when said customer is more than happy to come to Bonjour.
The Hong Kong-listed provider of beauty and health-care products as well as operator of beauty and health salons across the SAR and Macau has yet to truly enter the adjacent mainland market with its 1.3 bln consumers.
That is because PRC shoppers are more than happy to visit Bonjour’s 35 shops across the border.
