ABC will launch its massive IPO tomorrow.
SHARES IN Hong Kong broke a two-day losing spell, finishing the day up 0.2% at 20,726.68 on signs of renewed vigor in the property market.
Meanwhile, A-shares on the mainland continued their losing ways, with the Shanghai Composite Index shedding 0.7% to close at 2,535.28, its fourth consecutive trading day of declines.

BY BETTING ON stocks that lack media coverage, investors may be doing themselves a favour, according to a new research paper co-authored by INSEAD Assistant Finance Professor Lily Hua Fang (left) and Associate Professor of Finance Joel Peress (right).

GREAT GROUP Holdings, which is listed on the Singapore Exchange, got a top line boost in the first quarter from its contract manufacturing for men’s and women’s undergarments as well as children’s apparel, and is taking concrete steps to bolster its bottom line.

CHINA ENVIRONMENT shares shot up by 4.5 cents, or 22.5%, to close at 24.5 cents yesterday.
Volume traded was a massive 29.9 million shares, and comes hot on the heels of strong buying of the stock in recent weeks by the chairman and by a Singapore investor.

MAN WAH HOLDINGS Ltd (HK: 1999) has delivered its first set of financial results following its listing in Hong Kong.
And what a crowd turned out for the announcement: 16 journalists and 37 analysts, among others.
For the year-to-March, the reclining sofa maker grew its revenue by 49.3% to 2.93 bln hkd.

Hard Sell? Stronger yuan talk is raising markets... and eyebrows
A-SHARES WERE sharply higher today, with the Shanghai Composite Index up 2.90% at 2,586.21 and the Shenzhen index jumping by an even newsier 3.44%. Shares in Hong Kong added 0.74% to finish at 20,286.71.
